Who We Are

Welcome to the Columbia Gorge Conservation Group!

The Columbia Gorge Conservation Fund is a passionate collective of environmental advocates, conservationists, and community members dedicated to protecting and preserving the Columbia River Gorge—one of the Pacific Northwest’s most breathtaking landscapes. Spanning over 80 miles along the Oregon-Washington border, the Gorge is a haven of towering cliffs, cascading waterfalls, old-growth forests, and diverse wildlife. However, this unique ecosystem faces growing threats from development, climate change, and human impact.

Our mission is to safeguard the ecological richness and natural beauty of the Columbia River Gorge for current and future generations. We do this by protecting native habitats, restoring ecosystems, and advocating for sustainable policies. Through conservation, education, and community involvement, we work to ensure that the Gorge remains a thriving, vibrant environment for both people and wildlife. We empower individuals, businesses, and organizations to get involved and actively take part in preserving the Gorge, fostering a shared sense of responsibility toward this precious resource.

We believe in a future where the Gorge is free from unchecked development, where vibrant wildlife populations thrive, and where the landscape is restored and maintained for generations to come. With the continued support of our community, we are working toward a future in which the Columbia River Gorge remains a cherished natural wonder, a place of beauty and ecological balance, enjoyed by all who visit and call it home.

Join us in our mission to protect the Columbia River Gorge,
ensuring its beauty and ecological health for generations to come.
