What do we do?

Protecting and Preserving

The Columbia Gorge

At the Columbia Gorge Conservation Group,
we are committed to protecting the natural beauty and ecological integrity of the Columbia River Gorge. Our work focuses on conservation, restoration, and community engagement to ensure that this breathtaking landscape remains a thriving ecosystem for generations to come.

Habitat Restoration

By restoring native plant life, removing invasive species, and protecting critical wildlife corridors, we ensure that the diverse species of the Gorge have a safe and thriving home.

Clean and Healthy Natural Spaces

We organize regular community cleanups to remove litter, debris, and hazardous waste from trails, parks, and waterways, helping to maintain the Gorge’s pristine beauty.

Wildfire Prevention Through Forest Stewardship

We help reduce fire risks by clearing dry leaves, fallen branches, and other natural debris that can fuel wildfires during fire season. By responsibly managing forest floors, we create safer, healthier ecosystems while protecting local communities.

Community Collaboration

We partner with local communities, conservation groups, and businesses to amplify our impact, fostering a shared commitment to keeping the Gorge clean, safe, and resilient. Join us in preserving the Columbia River Gorge—one cleanup, one restoration project,
and one fire prevention effort at a time.
